Screen View Victory Conditions Battle Command Follow-Up Attack Awakening and Mode Change Break Countering Link Hunt

Coming into contact with an enemy on the field will start a battle.
Attacking an enemy before battle begins will allow you to begin the battle at an advantage.
During missions, battles may also occur in the town.

Screen View

Battle Command 1

Magic Select the Magic you want to use, and then select your target.
Using Magic consumes MP. You cannot use Magic if you don't have enough MP, and if it reaches 0 your character will be knocked out.
Attack Consume 1 MP to attack. Attacking does not deal very much damage.
Item By using consumable items, you can recover HP, recover MP, and more.
Defend Until the character's next action, damage dealt to the character as well as their allies will be reduced.

Battle Command 2

Escape Abandon the battle and run away. Does not always work.
Awakening Consume the entire Awakening Gauge to Awaken.

Team Member Info

The icon indicates how many enemies are targeting the character. Enemies are more likely to target characters that have attacked them.

Fairy Gauge

Attacking enemies fills the gauge. Fill it completely to unleash a Magic Chain.

Other Commands

Help View Help.
Details View enemy locations, as well as their elemental weaknesses and resistances.
Next Check which character will act next.
Autobattle Select whether battles occur automatically.
Action Sequence OFF/ON Toggle the action sequence on or off.

Victory Conditions

Reduce all of your enemies' HP to 0 and you win. If all of your team members are knocked out, (either by having all of their HP or MP reduced to 0), you lose.
If you lose a battle, you will be given the choice of either doing the battle over from the start or returning to your base.

Battle Command

During your turn, you may select and perform a single command.
Your enemies will also have the chance to act when their turn rolls around in the turn order.
Check "Next" to see who will act next.

Follow-Up Attack

Consume one portion of the Awakening Gauge to have another character perform a Follow-Up Attack.

Awakening and Mode Change

By consuming the entire Awakening Gauge, a character can be Awakened. While Awakened, such characters will be powered-up greatly.
For some characters, instead of being Awakened, they can activate Dragon Force or Mode Change.
The Awakening Gauge is filled as damage is taken.

Awakening

  • Will recover HP for the duration of the Awakened state
  • All stats will get a boost for a certain number of turns
  • For a certain number of turns, HP and MP will recover at the start of turn
  • May be able to use special magic

Dragon Force

  • Will recover HP for the duration of the Awakened state
  • All stats will get a boost for a certain number of turns
  • Enhanced elemental compatibilities
  • For a certain number of turns, HP and MP will recover at the start of turn
  • May be able to use special magic

Mode Change

  • Will recover HP for the duration of the Awakened state
  • All stats will get a significant boost for a certain number of turns
  • May be able to use special magic

Upon Taking Damage from Enemies

Upon receiving an attack from an enemy, the Awakening Gauge can be completely consumed to negate the enemy's attack while becoming Awakened.
However, the effects of such Awakenings will be 2 turns fewer than a normal Awakening.

Break

When you deal over a certain amount of damage with a single hit, the enemy may .
Enemies with Break will be unable to act on their next turn, and attacking them will always result in critical damage.

A Break is more likely to happen when using magic that aligns with the target's weakness.

Countering

If you use certain types of Magic, you will enter a state where you are ready to perform a counterattack. When in such a state, you will perform a counterattack when attacked by enemies.

Link Hunt

Advance the story and you will be able to participate in Link Hunts, where you battle several enemies on the field all at once.
Hold down the button to adjust the enemies' strength. You can wipe out the enemies you've drawn in according to their level.
Link Hunted enemies are more powerful and will form packs.

Note that you can only use Link Hunt on the field.
