Amidst her search for Liliana, Aluche is confronted by the assassin sent by the Lourdes Order. Wielding two daggers, Veruschka persistently attacks Aluche. Her rage-filled frenzy makes it seem as though she's not simply acting on the Order's commands. As fate would have it, Veruschka was also a half-demon, which is why she felt such vitriol toward her enemy.

After the battle, they return to the hotel to find that Camilla's chocolatier, Eleanor, had arrived. With plentiful connections as a saleswoman, she might be able to help find leads on Liliana's whereabouts. After asking her, they receive just the answers they were looking for!

"She might be somewhere nearby?!" Aluche leaves the hotel in a hurry, her chest full of hope and expectations. It is then that a huge figure blocks her path, almost as though it had been waiting for this opportunity.
