When a clan has grown in size, they may make a submission for a decisive battle to determine which clan will rule over the land.
Winning the decisive battle enables you to gain control over all of your opponent's territory.

Flow of a Decisive Battle

Decisive battles are split into the opening assault phase and the decisive battle phase.
The opening assault phase consists of two sieges. During the first, you act as the aggressor, laying siege to your opponent's castle. During the second siege, you defend your own clan's castle.
Then the final showdown, the decisive battle, begins.
The side who wins the decisive battle will gain control over all of their opponent's territory.

Submission
Fulfill the conditions to make a decisive battle submission.
Castle Selection
Select which of your opponents' castles you wish to subject to an opening assault (siege).
The enemy clan selects one of your castles for an opening assault (defense).
Preparation period of 6 months
Unit Selection
Select which units will participate in the opening assault and decisive battle.
Opening Assault (Siege)
Lay siege to your opponent's castle.
Winning will increase the number of units who participate in the decisive battle.
Opening Assault (Defense)
Defend your castle from your opponent's siege.
Winning will prevent your opponent's units from increasing during the decisive battle.
Decisive Battles
This large-scale battle will decide the ultimate victor.
Winning will give you control over all of your opponent's territory.

Conditions for Decisive Battle Submissions

Fulfilling the following conditions will result in a decisive battle submission.

  • You are adjacent to the opposing clan.
  • Both your clan and the opposing clan have 30 or more castles, and the opposing clan (including vassal clans) is not too large.
  • You have no diplomatic relations with and are not promoting goodwill toward the opposing clan.
  • Both your clan and the opposing clan are strengthening the System Reform II policy.
  • Your clan is in control of all castles in the region where your main base is located at the start of the scenario.

Opening Assaults

Sieges will be executed at both the castle chosen by your clan and the one chosen by the opposing clan.
During the preparation period before the decisive battle, you can prepare for the opening assault, transfer officers, build defense equipment, and make other such preparations.
The opening assault phase will be executed in the following order: a siege of the opposing clan's castle and then the defense of your own clan's castle.
The results will affect the number of units that participate in the decisive battle.

Opening Assault Rules

  • Select which of the opposing clan's castles you wish to besiege in your opening assault. You can only select castles adjacent to you.
  • The number of units that can march during the opening assault (siege) will be determined by the number of roads that connect to your clan from the chosen castle.
  • Whichever of your castles was chosen by the opposing clan will serve as your defensive base.
  • The affiliated officers of the castle chosen by the opposing clan will serve as marching units during the opening assault (defense).
  • Winning the opening assault (siege) will enable your top four remaining units to participate in the decisive battle.
  • Winning the opening assault (defense) will prevent your opponent's units from increasing during the decisive battle.

When the opening assault on both sides' castles has ended, the final large-scale battle (the decisive battle) will begin.
Winning will give you control over all of your opponent's territory.
Losing will cause the game to end.

Decisive Battle Rules

  • Each side will have 12 units participating.
  • If you were victorious in the opening assault (siege), your top four remaining units will be able to participate in the decisive battle.
  • If you were defeated in the opening assault (defense), the enemy clan will increase by up to four units.
