Politics

Political Commands

Under Political Commands you'll find various commands related to Domestic Affairs, Human Affairs, Diplomacy and Military Affairs. Which commands are available depends on your rank.
Unique Political Ploy Commands can be unlocked by earning certain titles. Unique Political Ploy Commands which are being carried out by your allied officers are also available to you for use in coordination with them, even if you do not have the required titles.

Coordination

Initiating a political command that is also being carried out by another officer activates the coordination bonus: the command will be more effective than usual and your companionship level with the other officer will slightly increase. The higher your companionship level with the other officer, the greater the effect.

Social Rank

What officers can do will depend on their rank.
An officer of a kingdom can be promoted if a position opens up, and if they have gained enough merit. If the officer's companionship level with the ruler is high enough, they can be promoted even if there are no open positions.

Ruler A ruler is the highest authority in a kingdom and will make use of everything their kingdom provides to unify China. They can decide what strategies will best grow their own kingdom.
Tactician/Grand General Second in command after the ruler. They can execute almost all the same commands as the ruler. Prospective Tacticians should aim to complete the Political Objectives, while those with aspirations of becoming a Grand General should look at achieving the Invasion Objectives.
General/Officer Follow the policies set by the ruler, participate in battles, and execute their political will. Earn merits to get promoted to higher ranks.
Unaffiliated An officer not affiliated with any kingdom. Their main objective is to gain territory by invading enemy territories as part of a kingdom's army or as a Vagrant Force.

Battle

Invading the Capital

The dominant territory of each kingdom will be its capital.
If a capital falls, the kingdom falls. Do whatever you can to take an enemy kingdom's capital.

Invasion by an Enemy Kingdom

When one of your territories is invaded, you can drive the enemy back with the Defensive Battle political command. Without your intervention, the territory's defense level will keep decreasing until it hits 0, at which point the territory will be taken from you.

Emerging Vagrant Force

Vagrant Forces are more likely to emerge in territories with a low defense level and a small number of officers. Vagrant Forces will continue to attack the territory until its Army Strength falls below a certain level. Rid a territory of Vagrant Forces by defeating them in a defensive battle.
