Formation

You can check your allies' stats and change their formation via Formation in the Main Menu.

Changing Formation

Select a character to change their position.
You can also change your formation in combat with the Formation command.

Stats

Check your allies' stats here.

The numbers in () are the base values. The actual stats equal the base value plus the amount increased by weapons and objectives.

HP

Represents a character's physical endurance.
HP is reduced by taking damage in combat. If it reaches zero, the character will be KO'd.
HP recovers a little each day.
Using restorative items or resting a number of days in the atelier bed recovers a substantial amount.

Restorative items can be used via Container in the Main Menu.

MP

Represents a character's mental fortitude.
MP is consumed by using items, Special attacks, or (only in Marie's case) synthesis.
MP recovers a little each day.
Using restorative items or resting a number of days in the atelier bed recovers a substantial amount.

Fatigue (Marie)

Accumulates during synthesis. High fatigue lowers synthesis success rate.
Fatigue recovers a little each day.

Level (Lv.)

The character's level. Increases by 1 with every 100 EXP earned.
Increasing a character's level also raises their stats.

EXP is earned through exploring, synthesis, events, and other activities.

Physical Attack (P.ATK)

Affects the damage dealt to enemies.
The higher this stat, the more damage a character will deal with physical attacks.

Magic Attack (M.ATK)

Affects the damage dealt to enemies.
The higher this stat, the more damage a character will deal with magical attacks.

Physical Defense (P.DEF)

Affects the damage taken from enemies.
The higher this stat, the less damage a character will take from physical attacks.

Magic Defense (M.DEF)

Affects the damage taken from enemies.
The higher this stat, the less damage a character will take from magical attacks.

Speed (SPD)

Represents speed of movement.
The higher this stat, the faster a character's turn will come around. Flee success rate also increases.

Reputation (Marie)

Triggers events and makes new references available after reaching certain thresholds.
Reputation is earned by completing quests and triggering events.

Knowledge (Marie)

Triggers events and makes new references available after reaching certain thresholds.
Knowledge is acquired by creating new items, reading references, and listening to rumors.

Friendship (Adventurers)

Higher friendship stats make an adventurer easier to hire.
Reaching certain friendship thresholds may trigger special events.

Raise an adventurer's friendship by exploring with them and completing their direct quests.
Being defeated with the adventurer in your party or failing their direct quest will cause it to decrease.

Wage (Adventurers)

The number of coins required to hire an adventurer.

Special Attacks

An allied character's special attack.
May be used in combat by selecting the Special command.
Special attacks grow stronger after reaching a certain level threshold.

Special 1

Available from the beginning of the game.
Marie's will become available after fulfilling certain conditions.

Special 2

Becomes available after fulfilling certain conditions.

Dismissing Adventurers

Select an adventurer and press the designated button to dismiss them.

You can also dismiss adventurers by speaking to them in town.
