Based on the concept of playing "DYNASTY WARRIORS 4" to the fullest, the game was packed with modes putting forward new ways of play as well as all new elements for replayability. The following features were added to deepen the base established by "DYNASTY WARRIORS 4" as the base, the following features were added: Legend Mode, where stages for each of the 42 characters could be played; the new Xtreme Mode, where random stages appear and players win as many consecutive battles as possible; Level 11 weapons; and even more rare items.
