Online Multiplayer

Recruit

Cooperate with other players to take on a battlefield together.
Select Recruit from the Online Lobby in the Battle Flag menu to send requests for aid or join others.

The player who sends the request is called the host, and any player who accepts is called a guest player.
Up to two guest players can join at once.

Success/Failure Conditions and Rules

Recruitment mode ends in success if the battlefield's objective is completed.
It ends in failure if any player's HP drops to 0 and they do not receive aid, causing them to retreat.

Guest players cannot interact with doors, treasure chests, and other similar objects.

Co-op

You can team up with a specific player to take on a battlefield together.
Select Co-op from the Online Lobby in the Battle Flag menu to set out for a battlefield with another player.

A host player in search of a co-op partner can either invite a friend or set a password that the guest must enter.
A guest player looking to join co-op must either receive an invitation or join by entering the appropriate password.
Up to two guest players can join at once.

Success/Failure Conditions and Rules

A co-op session ends in success once the objective of the battlefield is achieved.
If either player's HP drops to 0 and they do not receive aid, they will restart from the Battle Flag they last raised or rested at. Co-op sessions will not end in failure.

Guest players are able to interact with doors, treasure chests, and other similar objects.

Invade

You can invade another player's battlefield, seeking to eliminate them.

Select Invade from the Online Lobby in the Battle Flag menu to invade another player's battlefield.

Success/Failure Conditions and Rules

An invader will take on the role of a follower under one of the leaders on that battlefield. An invasion will end in success once the invading player defeats the host player.
The host player can expel the invader either by defeating them or by defeating the leader and raising a Battle Flag.

Unless the host player is playing with at least two warriors or with at least one online co-op partner, the invasion will be carried out by NPCs.

Vengeance

By exacting vengeance on an enemy that defeated another player, you may receive a special reward.

Vengeance Targets

Enemies are indicated as vengeance targets by a purple haze around their Morale Rank.
In addition, there will be a tattered Burial Flag at the spot where a player in another world was defeated. Approach it to see who was defeated, when, and by which enemy.
Note: The Morale Rank of these targets is one level higher than normal.

Upon defeating a vengeance target, a notification will be displayed in the top left of the screen. Defeating these enemies will yield higher item drop rates, as well as accolades, and occasionally Tiger Seals.

Offering a Use of the Dragon's Cure Pot

Offering a use of the Dragon's Cure Pot at a Burial Flag increases your Morale Rank by 2 for 30 seconds.
