Negotiations

Trust gained through goodwill can be consumed to negotiate with other clans or the shōgunate. As long as you have sufficient trust and the conditions are fulfilled, the negotiation will be successful.

Alliance	Form a 12-month alliance.
Vassal	Make the other clan your vassal.
Submit	Become the vassal of the other clan. You will lose the ability to perform diplomacy with any other clan.
Reinforce	Request reinforcements for an attack.
Defend	Request reinforcements for defense.
Mediate	Have the other clan mediate a truce between you and another clan.
Marriage	Marry off a Hime to form a marriage alliance.
Title	Request a shōgunate title (only when the other party is the shōgunate clan).
Quit	Unilaterally dissolve an alliance or vassalage. Your stance with surrounding clans will worsen and the loyalty of your retainers will decrease. After dissolving a connection, you will enter a 3-month truce with the clan.
Tribute	Use direct talks to exchange gold, treasures, or other things to improve diplomatic stance.
Truce	Use direct talks to exchange domains, treasures, or other things to negotiate a truce. If the negotiation is unsuccessful, you will not be able to enter negotiations again for a time.
