Elements and Status Effects

Elements and Actions

All battle actions (attacks, skills, items, Secret Keys) have elements associated with them. Using an element that the enemy is vulnerable to will allow you to deal extra damage.
There are two types of elemental attributes, primary and secondary, and the combination of these determines the final attribute.

Primary Elements

There are two types:physical and magic.

Checking Primary Elements

  • Attacks/skills: Main Menu > Battle Preparation > Stats
  • Items (depends on the item's effect): Main Menu > Basket/Container or Battle Preparations > Equipment

Secondary Elements

There are four types:fire, ice, bolt, andair.
Some actions do not have secondary elements.

Note: Normal attacks do not have secondary elements.

Checking Secondary Elements

  • Skills: Main Menu > Battle Preparation > Stats
  • Items (depends on the item's effect): Main Menu > Basket/Container or Battle Preparations > Equipment
  • Secret Keys: Main Menu > Secret Key

Status Effects

During combat, characters can become affected by status effects.
There are both positive and negative status effects. Some effects have depth levels, and the higher the level, the more powerful the effect will be. Status effects will wear off over time.
You can check the character's status effects from "Show Details" in the pause screen during combat.
