GAME MODES

Musou Mode

Play through each individual officer's story and test your skills in battles from the Three Kingdoms period, including new scenarios. New officers can be unlocked by fulfilling specials conditions during battles.

New Scenarios $MORE$

Free Mode

Select a combination of officers and scenarios to play without restrictions. This mode lets you join forces that would normally be an officer's enemy and play out hypothetical situations. The growth items, equipment, and weapons that you gather carry over to other game modes as well.

Challenge Mode

Compete for the highest score in categories such as enemies defeated, completion time, and combo score. Test your limits in modes such as Endurance where you see how many enemies you can defeat before your health runs out, Time Attack where you see how long it takes you to defeat 100 enemies, and Assault where you see how high of a combo score you can achieve in 3 minutes.

VS Mode

Face off against another player in a variety of different challenges, such as the 3v3 “Three Duels at Hulao Pass” where the first player to fall loses, and the 1v1 “Naval Annihilation at Chibi” where the first player to defeat 20 enemy soldiers wins. A total of eight stages is available, each with their own special rules. are available to be played.

Camp

Change officer and bodyguard settings and prepare for battle. The newly added Weapon Fusion feature allows you to use the materials you've collected to create your own custom weapons. Aim to create your own ultimate weapons!

Change the in-game settings, including difficulty and controls. The new features added to this game can also be switched between normal and classic settings.

Offline 2-Player Mode

The beloved offline 2-player mode from the original DYNASTY WARRIORS 3 returns. Musou Mode, Free Mode, and VS Mode can all be played in split screen. You can team up to take on powerful enemies, or test your might against each other in battle. Take to the world of the Three Kingdoms together!
